One of my surprise favorites that I've come across planning for our trip is An Outdoor Family Guide to Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks by Lisa Gollin Evans, ISBN Since my kids are older, sometimes the "family" guidebooks aren't really what I'm looking for, but this one is well written, has decent maps, hiking info. Date: Contact: Morgan Warthin, () The combined seven-day entrance pass to Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks will end May Starting June 1, a seven-day entrance pass for each park will be.

Very readable geology book. It appeared to have been written as a series of articles, as each chapter repeated some basic info. The last chapters were a suggested tour of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. I wish I had read this book a few years ago as I would have understood a lot more when we visited the area/5.   But there is a way to enjoy Yellowstone and the Tetons, bypass the worst of the crowds, and experience more of Wyoming’s frontier spirit. Set up camp in one of Wyoming’s state parks, where you can examine ancient petroglyphs, hike the Wind River range or fly fish on the North Platte and still have plenty of time for hikes, geyser viewing.

Explore Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Parks holidays and discover the best time and places to visit. | With its raging geysers and howling wolf packs, Yellowstone stands as one last pocket of a wild, primeval America. Sherman Alexie's book is a fictionalized account of growing up on the Spokane Indian Reservation in NE Washington, so that is not exactly Yellowstone.. I seem to remember reading a mystery set in Yellowstone a loooong time ago but I can't figure out what it was.
